1. Overview
TurboDMS is a document management platform used by organizations. User accounts are typically created and managed by your organization’s administrator. If you use TurboDMS on the web or through the TurboDMS mobile app, you can request deletion of your personal user account and associated account data as described below.
For more information about how we handle personal data, see our Privacy Policy.
2. How to Request Deletion
You can request account deletion using either method below.
Option A — Contact your organization administrator (recommended)
- Contact the administrator for your TurboDMS organization (for example, your IT department or document management administrator).
- Ask them to deactivate or delete your TurboDMS user account.
- Your administrator can remove your login access and associated user profile data from your organization’s tenant.
Option B — Contact TurboDMS directly
If you cannot reach your organization administrator, email us at privacy@turbodms.com from the email address linked to your TurboDMS account. Include:
- Your full name
- Your login email address or username
-
Your organization subdomain (the value you enter as
Organization in the mobile app, e.g.
acme-corp) - A clear statement that you want your account deleted
We may verify your identity before processing the request. If your organization manages your account, we may redirect the request to your organization administrator where appropriate.
3. Mobile App Users
The TurboDMS mobile app does not include a self-service “delete account” button. To delete your account, follow the steps in section 2 above.
You can sign out of the mobile app at any time from Settings. Signing out removes locally stored session tokens and push notification registration for that device, but it does not delete your TurboDMS user account or documents stored in your organization’s tenant.
4. What Is Deleted
When your account is deleted or deactivated by your administrator or by TurboDMS following a verified request, the following are typically removed or disabled:
- Your user profile and login credentials
- Your ability to sign in to TurboDMS (web and mobile)
- Personal account settings associated with your user record
- Mobile push notification registrations linked to your account
- User-specific preferences stored against your account (where applicable)
5. What May Be Retained
TurboDMS is used for regulated document management. Some information may be retained after your user account is deleted, including:
- Documents, metadata, workflow records, and audit trail entries created or modified by you, where your organization must retain them for legal, regulatory, or business purposes
- Security, access, and activity logs required for compliance, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution
- Backup copies for a limited period, in accordance with our backup and disaster recovery procedures
- Billing or contractual records related to your organization’s subscription, where applicable
Retention periods depend on your organization’s policies, applicable law, and any active legal holds or retention schedules configured in TurboDMS.
6. Processing Timeline
- Account access: Login access is typically disabled within 30 days of a verified deletion request.
- Personal account data: User profile and account settings are removed or anonymized within 30 days where technically feasible and not prohibited by law.
- Retained records: Data that must be kept for legal or organizational reasons may be retained for the period required by those obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymized in line with our Privacy Policy.
